Caring for someone with Dementia can be challenging.
Dementia Day Respite is daytime respite designed specifically for those living with Dementia or experiencing memory loss. Your loved one can enjoy a range of stimulating activities delivered by experienced Social Workers, and Clinical professionals, while you take a much-earned break.
Manage personal tasks, or simply relax, secure in the knowledge that your loved one is in good hands.
Dementia Day Respite provides a range of Dementia-friendly activities, including:
Gardening.
Arts and crafts.
Cooking.
Music and dancing.
Gentle exercise.
Variety of outings.
Community visits.
Locations.
Our Day Programs are run across four convenient locations in Adelaide:
College Grove, Walkerville.
Henley Beach.
Smithfield.
Happy Valley.
Programs are available Monday to Friday, from 9:30am to 3:30pm (excluding public holidays). Lunch is included, and transport can be arranged at an additional cost (transport not available at Happy Valley).
No matter your loved one’s age, Dementia Day Respite is available on a self-funded basis.
If they are 65 or over, they may qualify for a Home Care Package (HCP) or the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and you may be able to use some of this funding to access a Day Program.
